The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) is a national nonprofit organization that nurtures a new generation of environmental leadership characterized by diversity, innovation, collaboration, and effective communications. ELP's primary goal is to educate and support the next generation of environmental and social change leaders through regional networks and a national fellowship program.
Recognizing that every sector plays a critical role in environmental progress, ELP recruits participants for its programs from across the field, including nonprofits, academia, government, and the private sector. ELP also strives to create a community comprised of individuals from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds and to work with emerging leaders who can strengthen partnerships with public health, religious, labor, and civil rights organizations.
The ELP Fellowship and Southeast Regional Network both combine a strong peer network and intensive skills training with opportunities for mentoring, project seed money, time for personal and professional reflection, and technical support.
Application materials for the ELP Fellowship are now available online (www.elpnet.org/southeastnetwork/apply.php). The deadline is December 21st.
The Southeast Regional Network is open to emerging leaders who have fewer than 10 years of experience in the field of environmental and social change and who live/work in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, central and eastern Tennessee, or northern Florida.
